Historique

Vernyuy Tina also known as Música, President of her self-owned TINATION (lovers of her art) was born on the 17th of April 1996. Vernyuy Tina is a Cameroonian singer, rapper, songwriter, model above all an Entertainer. Tina describes her music as Afro-Njang, a blend of traditional instrumentals with other genres (Jazz, Folklore, Rap, Country…).

Vernyuy, Tina, was born to parents, Hon Akonteh Andrew and Banboye Wongibe Evelyne. She attended Primary and Secondary at Bamenda where she studied Geology adding up to STU & Mining at the Universities of Yaoundé & Bamenda Cameroon respectively which earned her a BSC in Geo-Mining Science. She began singing & writing poetry in her primary school at the age of 7 and this greatly paved her path into the underground rap scenes at the age of 13 and then later let to her desire & decision to make music professionally at the age of 18 with her first ever studio record - "Stony Road", released in 2014, a year after that decision. Tina's partaking in her different school choirs always earned her respect and appreciation from her school authorities which contributed to her being crowned best Vocalist of her time at 17 years old upon her graduation from Saint Augustine's College Nso academic year 2012–2013 published in « The Augustinian » Magazine after giving a soul-touching interpretation of Brenda Fasi's « Nomakanjani ».

Vernyuy Tina draws her inspiration from her Mama, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves, Don Williams, Sia, Enya, Nathalie Makoma, Lucky Dube, Fela Kuti, Miriam Makeba, Brenda Fassie, Richard Bona, Lil Wayne, Pascal - YungKING, not forgeting her biggest inspirational Best Friend which is her GUITAR for she grew up listening to a lot of country music.

Vernyuy Tina is well known for her fapkolo remix which went wavy across the North-West region & which she did for the fapkolo remix contest launched by Salatiel. Her other singles like pain, my word, Fola wun Lenjo, Gee Reign (Ponmile cover), Show'em also raised awareness for her career. She is also identified for her connection with the guitar, frequent free-styling attitudes, covers like M'bunri (Which was originally a Raba cover). Tina also took part in one of Cameroon's most creative cyphers which was hosted by Vanilla City Entertainment in 2016 which got her a lot more followers and well-wishers from across the continent. Her collaboration with Cameroon’s talented male Artiste Tzy Panchak in the title "NA SO" has gotten her a unique spot in the 237 entertainment industry as well as exposed her God - given art, for it created a platform for her to start her career fully for many more to discover her rare gift. Vernyuy Tina within this spotlight has released two singles "Música" and recently "Yùtí" which have both gained massive airplays nationally and internationally. She also recorded with Tzy Panchak the official song of Annual Show in 2021 "Annual Show Tweenty". Vernyuy Tina is currently working on her first studio album.
